Academic Pagan StudiesPaganism's growth in size and acceptability has led to at least two new trends in academic studies: (1) the increasing number of academics studying aspects of Paganism and (2) the need for Pagan seminary-type training in leadership and clergy development. This page explores the study of Paganism in academia, while the Pagan Clergy page focuses specifically on clergy training and needs. Academic Organizations & Publishers

Pagan Studies Series by AltaMira Press Additional Book and Journal RecommendationsThe Drynemetum's Academic Research Center for Researching Neopaganism, Druidism and Wicca has great links to Neo-Pagan journals, encyclopedias, and other academic resources. These authors provide one of the best collections I've seen -- it is well worth the time to explore their extensive website! A search for "Pagan" & "Journal" will reveal many magazine-type publications, such as The Pomegranate (check here for back issues).
